REGISTERED CHILDREN'S HOME MANAGER
We are making major investments in safeguarding children in Jersey. One of our most important investments will be in you.
Self governed, we are free to decide what’s best for the young people we serve. With more time to really focus on what individual children need, and more opportunities to live a beautiful island lifestyle, you can rediscover what you love about your career here.
We will look to you to manage every aspect of running the Home. Whether they are resident for medium or long term planned placements, you will make sure young people benefit from high levels of emotional and physical care. You will champion appropriate activities and comfortable accommodation, and take great care to ensure keyworkers provide excellent services. Crucially, you will see that young people are supported and prepared to move on to independent living.
As you develop, manage and coordinate a full range of high quality residential services for young people, you will focus strongly on safeguarding, emotional sustainability, sound partnership practice and the ability to form lasting relationships. Under your leadership, your team will be committed to working issues through in a planned way to achieve the best outcomes for every young person in your care.
We will expect you to have a proven track record of working with children, young people and their families through residential care. This should include experience as a supervisor or manager, and in a residential setting. Naturally, you will be familiar with the full spectrum of relevant regulations and standards. As we continue to change and improve the service we provide, you will bring an imaginative but practical approach to childcare.
Our people matter to us, so we’ll support you from day one. We’ll give you everything you need to make this move and start changing the lives of others, and your own. That means a generous relocation package (up to £8,000), continual training and development opportunities, and the freedom to rediscover not just why you love what you do, but also who you are. This is care rediscovered.
