Senior Manager - Children Looked After

This important role provides an opportunity for an inspirational and exceptional leader, who cares passionately about children looked after, to drive and deliver ambitious outcomes for the most vulnerable children in Wirral. We are looking for a leader to raise the aspirations of our looked after children and ensure each child has individual plans to achieve them. You will thrive on a challenge and set the bar high to achieve excellent services and care for our children.
The entire authority is dedicated to supporting children’s services as we create the momentum to deliver the changes required ensure our services are excellent. We are investing significantly in our social care services and the resources are here to support you in this vital role.
We have made rapid, encouraging progress already: this post will build on our momentum to achieve our high aspirations for services to our looked after children.
The post holder will be responsible for children looked after social work teams, care leavers, court work, adoption and fostering services.
