We are recruiting for an Advocacy Manager to join our Youth Advocacy Team who deliver outstanding advocacy for children and young people. The manager supervises the Youth Advocates and oversees their casework, enabling them to understand their role, maintain appropriate boundaries feel supported in their work and manage safeguarding issues. The manager will also lead on advocacy practice development and relevant external-facing activities, alongside other managers in the team, and with support from the Director of Programmes and Participation and other members of our Senior Management Team.

This is an important role in our team and we are looking for somebody who has worked in youth advocacy or has excellent knowledge and understanding of youth advocacy, including tensions inherent in the discipline. You will also have extensive experience working with our client groups, those aged 10-25 who face multiple challenges in their lives including exclusion from education, being in or on the edge of the care system, facing homelessness, being caught up the criminal justice system or the immigration system. It is an exciting time to join our advocacy team, as we further define our model, strengthen how we capture the nature and impact of our work, and further integrate our internal offer for young people. We’re looking for someone keen and able to lead some of these developments.
