To work within an extremely busy SEND Information, Advice and Support Service in Tower Hamlets working directly with young people 14-25. The Young Peoples Advice Centre (YPAC) is a dynamic new service which has gone through period of rapid development.

To provide impartial, expert advice on Education, Health and Social Care to young people with SEND ensuring their voices are heard and understood

 To support participation of young people in informing and influencing the development of SEND policy and practice and to assist in the further development of impartial and confidential service 

Key Responsibilities

To manage a large diverse caseload providing intensive, specialist advice and ongoing support for young people with SEND

To develop and promote best working practices and empower young people to have their voices heard.

To carry out, where appropriate outreach work which engages with young people at risk of social exclusion

To provide evening and weekend Drop In sessions for young people to be able to access information and advice. 


We are looking for a flexible committed individual who has direct experience of working with vulnerable young people and thrives in a very fast paced environment. The postholder will have experience of doing complex casework with range of young people and have sensitive awareness of issues affecting young people with SEND

Must be able to work evenings and weekends.
