Hideaway Youth Project based in Moss Side Manchester has a number of vacancies for youth workers.
Hideaway is a local community based, nationally recognised youth work charity working with young people aged 11-25 years old from diverse backgrounds.
We are recruiting a Senior Youth Worker and a Youth Worker to enhance and develop our offer to young people.
Having secured additional funding through the Big Lottery, Reaching Communities fund until 2022 we are looking to build our staff team and help achieve our vision of inspiring the lives of young people through outstanding youth work.
The new Aspiring Lives programme will run a range of youth work programmes through three strands leading to accredited outcomes.
We are looking for enthusiastic and passionate youth workers who are committed to the impact that youth work can play in making a difference to the lives of young people, putting young people in the lead to develop and shape the services offered to them, and building the evidence base for great youth work.
The successful candidates will be experienced in working with young people in an inner-city environment, have excellent administration skills and a good working knowledge of youth work curriculum and training programmes which result in clear learning outcomes. Candidates will have good interpersonal skills, the ability to establish positive relationships with young people, youth leaders and supporters. They should be passionate about working with people and in particular the needs of young people as well as being flexible in their approach with a broad range of stakeholders.
Senior Youth Worker -£26,379 +3% pension
Youth Worker -£22,489 +3% pension
Both posts require a flexible approach to working including regular evenings and weekend working.
