Operations Director for Endeavour Training
(Endeavour’s base will be Sheffield from 2013, though flexible location and some home-working for this post may be considered. There is a requirement to be able to travel across the country to visit and support projects)
Salary: £40,000pa

A well-established educational charity using education, personal challenge and outdoor activities to enable disadvantaged young people to make the transition to adulthood
Endeavour Training has been active for the past 57 years, and has
* Gained a reputation as an effective provider of experiential and outdoor learning for young people
* Gained support from national figures including the Lord Phillips lately President of the Supreme Court, and HRH the Duke of Kent
* Established innovative working links with schools and community organisations across the country
* 18 projects nationally, 47 staff, turnover £1.7m
*Projects based in the North East, Yorkshire/Derbyshire, the Midlands, and London
* Endeavour projects include two small schools, and a range of programmes with unemployed young people and young offenders
The role
This is a new role due to planned expansion
This is a leadership post in a growing national educational charity. We are looking for candidates with substantial experience in the management of projects and small schools.
The successful candidate will be able to offer
*guidance to senior managers in running projects
*experience in educational projects or in outdoor programmes, or in work with young offenders
* experience of enabling project staff to meet targets
*knowledge of safeguarding and policy environments related to work with young people
*clarity, flexibility, and attention to detail
