JOB TITLE: Fund Raiser and Business Development Manager
BASED IN: Chesham, Buckinghamshire
REPORTING TO: Chief Executive Officer, Action4Youth
HOURS: 37 hours per week, worked flexibly to include evenings and weekends work where necessary
SALARY: £24,000 - £26,000 per annum
LEAVE: 25 days holiday per annum plus bank/public holidays
CONTRACT: Full time contract until April 2014
TRAVEL: Travel around Buckinghamshire will be necessary. Payments will be made at the rate of 45p per mile

We are looking for an enthusiastic person with a wide knowledge of fundraising and business development. The successful applicant will have a proven track record in securing financial support from a range of sources. S/he will be responsible for researching and submitting applications to statutory and lottery funds, Trusts and Foundations to enable Action4Youth, it’s affiliated members, and the wider voluntary sector to maintain a high standard of delivery and to implement, develop and sustain crucial projects and services for children and young people.

The role will include identifying suitable monitoring/reporting information and general grant management responsibilities, funding opportunities, writing creative and compelling applications, liaising with project delivery teams and producing monitoring/reporting information.

The applicant will also have key working skills in business development, planning, data collection, reviewing projects and will report this to their line manager. You will be self motivated/ result orientated and adept in managing your own work load and have the ability to work under pressure to achieve deadlines, undertake research and be practised in creating financial budgets. Key skills will include the ability to write clear and concise bids and reports, excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills and a proficiency in using Microsoft Office software.
