Youth Involvement Co-ordinator
£23-28k per annum (initially a 9 month contract with possible extension)

As Youth Involvement Co-ordinator you will:
- Be responsible for the effective involvement of our YAB – a group of volunteers aged 16-25
- Deliver a high quality volunteering experience for YAB members that harnesses their talents and supports them to develop a range of new skills and experiences
- Drive our internal and external youth strategy and continually evolve our youth involvement policy and practice
- Work closely with the CEO, Chief Operating Officer, the wider staff team, Trustees and voluntary sector partners
- Support our graduate internship programme to enable interns to get the most out of the experience and develop the skills they need to secure future employment
- Train vInspired staff in safeguarding and managing boundaries so that they can meaningfully involve young people in our work

We use our digital, social, activities and platforms to inspire good actions by offering easy-to-access opportunities and support for young people to get involved with good causes. Because we work for, and with young people, what we build needs to be fun and engaging, and work perfectly to get the job done. That’s where you come in.
To join us as Youth Involvement Co-ordinator, you’ll need to be a qualified or part-qualified Youth Worker. In addition, you must have:
- A good understanding of the voluntary, community and youth sector and experience of partnership management and networking across voluntary and statutory organisations
- A proven ability to advocate on behalf of young people to secure their involvement in the planning and decision making process
- Demonstrable experience of working with young people aged 14-25, including working with groups, supporting young volunteers and their development and developing and delivering creative, multi-activity residentials
- A flair for coaching, mentoring and training staff and/or volunteers and developing policies and procedures, particularly in safeguarding and boundary management
- The ability to think both strategically and creatively and to support change in working practices
- A flexible approach, excellent communication and negotiation skills and the ability to get things done, even when working under pressure
