Hours: 35 per week, including occasional weekend and evening work. National travel will be required.

Using innovative digital technology, Future You supports young people in overcoming the barriers they face to accessing and succeeding in education, employment and training. FutureYou provides young people with support from peer and adult mentors, information, advice and guidance from accredited and specialist advisers and deep-level therapeutic intervention from professional counsellors.

The service is instantly accessible and available in real time through www.thefutureyou.org.uk  which uses live chat and private messaging functionality to provide continuous immediate support to young people whenever they need it most, wherever they are.

FutureYou is looking to recruit a Senior Development Officer (SDO) to deliver and facilitate high quality training and workshops to young people (14-25) from a variety of backgrounds, nationwide. We are seeking a talented and experienced individual, who has substantial knowledge and experience of youth engagement work, mentoring, and working with young people who may be described as challenging, vulnerable, marginalised or at risk. They will support and assist the Manager and Head of FutureYou with the ongoing delivery and development of the service; build strong effective partnerships with schools, local authorities, voluntary organisations and other children’s services and offer ongoing support to a caseload of young people in the capacity of Online Adviser, via the FutureYou website. The successful candidate will also support the development of all existing and new programmes, to meet the needs of a range of children, young people and professionals and refresh and develop new programmes, including the writing of new training modules and materials.
