Quay Foyer is a dynamic environment where young people between the ages of 16-25 can live in one of our furnished bedsits until they are ready to live independently. While here, they will get all the support and help they need to gain skills, training and employment opportunities - and more importantly, the confidence to make a life for themselves. If you could share our enthusiasm and commitment to this scheme, we’d love you to join us.
We’re looking for a flexible person who can work on a rota basis to cover this 24 hour service. You will work on reception, introduce and support new residents to the foyer and act as a concierge to ensure only genuine visitors are admitted. This is a varied and interesting role where you will also provide support to our Project Workers, carry out admin duties and help to collect rent so you will need to be flexible and a good team player.
You’ll need to be an excellent communicator with good negotiation skills and the ability to work under pressure and cope with sometimes aggressive and volatile situations. A recognised youth/community qualification would be beneficial but not essential, as would experience in training and life skills.
