Join our team to deliver and develop a range of creative play opportunities for children aged 5 – 14 years in Stevenage.

Working directly with children, you will be responsible for managing one of Stevenage Borough Council’s
three play centres, including the management of the play staff and volunteers. Good communication skills
and experience of building management is essential.

You will also work as part of the play team to deliver children’s play programmes in Stevenage, through
work in partnership with local groups, schools and other agencies.

Working hours are 37 per week (Tues – Sat term time and Mon – Fri school holidays)

You will be based in Daneshill House, Stevenage and/or one of SBC Play Centres (depending on service need).

You will need:

  • Experience of managing a play/child care environment including staff, for children 5+ years.
  • Level 4 in Playwork to the QCF standards or NVQ Level 4 Play work, or equivalent or related discipline e.g. Child Care, Hospital Play Work.
  • A full clean manual driving licence and access to own car for work.
