The Caring and Health Department is a large curriculum area teaching courses which cover a wide range of the care sector at Oxford City and Banbury Campuses as well as within the community.
We are currently looking for an enthusiastic, inspirational, and ambitious professional to join our newly established and forward thinking team. The person will be a positive professional role model inspiring our students to achieve the highest standards in teaching and learning. The role will include course leadership responsibilities ensuring a high quality provision is developed and maintained.
You will have a proven record of excellence in teaching or training childcare and early years courses up to level 3 (CACHE, BTEC CCLD), and hold a teaching qualification. You will also be required to be a personal tutor supporting students to achieve their qualification, both via tutorial and by providing functional skills support. You will be responsible for ensuring that college quality assurance procedures are implemented and will lead and inspire the course team to achieve outstanding results for students.
Ideally, you will be educated to degree level and have a vocational qualification in childcare/early years to a minimum of level 4. You will also hold a recognised teaching qualification. You will have well-developed communication, interpersonal and organisational skills, with experience of co-ordinating and working within a team. You will need to be flexible, open to change and innovative in delivery methods and audiences to respond to the current training environment.
