Living in mess accommodation, you will initially be based in the UK for a minimum of a year before being considered for a transfer abroad. You will provide a confidential and sensitive welfare service, supporting soldiers on a one to one basis, helping them to find solutions to personal and practical issues, or using your judgement to signpost them to other support agencies where appropriate.

In addition, you will manage the Services Welfare centre including an internet suite and recreational amenities.
Developing effective relationships with army colleagues and other welfare agencies will be essential. Similarly, embracing the army culture will be critical whilst also upholding WRVS corporate identity, values and sense of independence.
