Further information

CIA’s work closely with councils identified through inspection for targeted sector-led support. They support the commissioning of additional capacity and expertise as well as facilitate staff development and change management programmes in agreement with the council and its partners. They also link with councils adopting the universal sector-led improvement support model and maintain close working relationships with regional groups of councils in order to understand priorities and needs and develop policy and good practice. This is particularly the case in respect of early warning and support models to prevent potential service failure. CIA’s have experience of working at a senior level, (preferably ex Director of Children’s Services or equivalent) in complex political and strategic environments, creating strategies, interventions and innovative solutions to complex issues.

This exciting and challenging role is offered flexibly due to the nature of the work and variable demand. The minimum would be three days per month up to a maximum of six days. Work will be available from October – March 2013.
