Sheffield Futures is a dynamic, independent charity, supporting communities and helping young people, particularly the vulnerable, to achieve their full potential in learning, employment and life.
We are currently looking to recruit a Targeted Programme Development Officer to design, deliver and evaluate a Community Youth Team targeted programme across the key elements of the integrated Youth Support Curriculum Framework, which supports the delivery of the CYT workforce development plan. The post holder will audit the current programme delivery and resource and develop a flexible menu of targeted programmes. They will ensure that all Community Youth Team staff are appropriately trained and resourced to deliver the Community Youth Team targeted programme. They will produce a performance framework to ensure that the targeted programme is based on best practice and supports national and local policy. They will effectively evaluate the programme, and build and manage a Community Youth Team targeted programme resource bank/toolkit.
The post will report directly to the Community Youth Team Service Manager and will link closely to the Learning and Development Team.
The successful candidate will have a professional knowledge achieved through a relevant professional qualification and significant and substantial experience in work with young people in a range of different settings. You will be confident working with both groups and individual staff members and young people and the ability to engage and motivate others.
You will have experience of delivering accredited learning programmes and be committed to the successful implementation of the Community Youth Team model and integrated / multi agency working.
You will hold relevant professional qualification. For example, Level 3 youth work qualification or above or working towards a level 4 youth work qualification (BA, FD or Dip HE); Diploma in Social Work etc, and a recognised teaching / training qualification (PTLLS, PGCE).
