Bail Supervision Officer
£26,276 - £28,636 plus an essential car user allowance
Following an internal promotion we are now seeking an enthusiastic person to join our high performing service. You will need some experience of working with young people who offend and have a familiarity with the process and information involved in presenting bail information to courts.
You will possess:
- A recognised professional qualification or a relevant degree level qualification
- Experience of working with young people who offend
- A sound knowledge of current legislation and issues relating to young people who offend, bail and remand
- A full driving licence and have access to a car.
You will be responsible for providing bail information to the courts, undertaking bail supervision assessments, preparing reports for the courts and for supporting young people remanded to custody, local authority accommodation and subject to bail supervision programmes. You will develop positive links with other agencies including the Police, Crown Prosecution Service and the Secure Estate. You will also hold a small caseload of young people subject to other statutory criminal orders. This is a challenging and exciting opportunity to contribute to a multi-agency approach to reducing offending by young people in Luton.
