Big Life Families works across the North of England in Merseyside, Greater Manchester and Teeside with children, young people and families experiencing disruption or distress living in disadvantaged areas.
It empowers families to achieve their full potential by delivering high quality, accessible services. It offers a range of services including managing children’s centres and delivering childcare, early intervention, self help groups, training and volunteering.
The Assistant Director will take lead responsibility for the provision of high quality services within Big Life Families. You will ensure excellence in the education, health and welfare of children, young people and families in order to meet the Children, Young People and Families agenda.
The Assistant Director will lead a number of children’s centres ensuring that their vision is driven forward in an innovative way. You will be responsible for ensuring that the staff team work to ensure that children’s life chances are excellent through working with families at the earliest opportunity to engage them in services, make them resilient rather than reliant and reduce families reaching crisis point.
