Camden, London

Closing Date: 16 September 2012

We are seeking to employ a Deputy Play Officer to support our thriving after-school clubs and holiday play schemes, which attract hundreds of children each year. This role will be central in delivery, planning and fundraising as we seek to ensure our provision is excellent quality, well organised and financially sustainable at a time when services are under threat to children, of which 45% in Camden live in poverty.

We are looking for you if you are an excellent Play or children's worker who is committed to the highest standards in Play work and what this involves in both a frontline and back-room context. The post will be part-time, with the exception of school holidays, which will be full time. It is possible that the role will grow to be full-time.

Our work with children is taking place in the context of a new model we launched in 2011 at The Winch, called The Promise Academy. In practice, this means that the successful candidate will join a dynamic organisation committed to supporting children and young people to flourish, supported by a range of partners and stakeholders.

In addition to our Deputy Play Officer, we will also appoint a Play Officer. In both roles, we are interested in the additional skills and experience applicants may bring, including in sports coaching.

In order to apply for the post of Deputy Play Officer, please download and carefully read the application pack. If you have any questions after you have done this, please get in touch.
