Social Finance is leading the development of new funding sources for civil society and public sector service delivery. It harnesses investment from socially motivated investors to fund interventions that deliver both financial and social benefits. Essex County Council has launched a procurement process to deliver a social investment funded service. The service will offer an intensive intervention, Multi-Systemic Therapy (MST), to support adolescents at the edge of care to reduce or prevent their time spent in care. Social Finance is in the final stages of bidding to manage this project (known as a Social Impact Bond) and is looking to recruit a Director. The service will run for five years with private and philanthropic investment of £3m.
This is an opportunity for an outstanding individual to drive systemic change that over time will have a significant impact in markedly improving the lives of vulnerable young people across the UK.
Providing key leadership and acting as a conduit between the key partners, the Director will ensure that the services are delivered to agreed standards, timelines and outcomes.
The Director will have proven leadership skills, experience of project and contract management and be able to demonstrate high levels of tact and diplomacy, alongside excellent communication abilities. The Director will have already worked within sectors related to adolescents and possess a strong personal drive to make a social impact.
A self starter with an entrepreneurial flair, the Director will get the project established and operational, whilst engaging positively with the range of stakeholders involved, including a large national children’s charity that will be delivering MST and Essex County Council.
