Safeguarding Manager (Maternity Cover)

We are searching for an enthusiastic and professional individual to fill maternity cover for the full time position of Safeguarding Manager, based at the Old Trafford Stadium, Manchester. The contract duration will either be for 9 months or until such time as the current post holder returns from maternity leave.
Providing guidance, advice and training in all aspects of safeguarding children and vulnerable groups, the successful candidate will encourage and monitor best practice throughout the Club.
Reporting to the Head of HR, applicants must be able to demonstrate a clear understanding and knowledge of up to date legislation and best practice initiatives regarding the safeguarding of children & vulnerable groups. They will possess relevant experience of working within the safeguarding field and an appreciation of the football/sports environment.
With an ability to produce and implement policies/guidance, combined with excellent influencing and presenting skills, the successful candidate will be organised, methodical and have the ability to handle difficult situations sensitively whilst maintaining utmost confidentiality.
Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory CRB, references and medical check.
