Working for a better future

The Early Help Service is committed to improving life chances. This is a chance to apply your excellent team working, relationship building and problem solving skills to deliver excellence for children and families.

The role

You’ll identify appropriate cases for interventions, oversee casework and use your consultation, assessment and other professional skills to achieve positive outcomes for vulnerable children, young people and families. Acting as a bridge to the children’s specialist services division to ensure complex cases are appropriately referred and managing “step down” cases will be a vital part of the job. You’ll also work closely with other departments and agencies to meet the needs of users and their carers in the community.

The requirement

Your relevant qualification in childcare, education or social work will be supported by experience of working with vulnerable children, young people and families in a multicultural setting, working with disturbed young people and children and child protection. To this you’ll add an open, empathetic approach and strong communication skills.
