Do you enjoy working with young people? We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic and experienced Youth Engagement Worker for club based work with young people in the Fulham area.
The Brunswick Club for Young People is a purpose built youth centre in Hammersmith & Fulham offering educational and leisure facilities for young people aged 8-19 years. It has a membership of 500, a daily attendance of 80+ and enjoys a good level of respect and support within the local community.
Motivate, the Brunswick’s youth engagement project, aims to encourage more young people aged 11-19 years, particularly young women, to make use of the Club’s services and facilities and to support existing and new members to benefit more from their attendance at the Club.
Supported by existing sessional youth work staff, the Youth Engagement Worker will work with young people to deliver a wide range of activities, workshops and training that increase young people’s participation, enable their personal and social development, improve their college and employment prospects and are fun.
This is a full time post guaranteed for one year, with subsequent years dependent on successful fundraising.
A professional youth work qualification is essential, as is the ability and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. An enhanced CRB check and two references will also be required.
