Contracted until October 31st 2014. Position covering Birmingham and the West Midlands. The successful candidate will be based in our Birmingham office.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to work with schools, colleges and youth organisations to build capacity for young people to support them into positive activities. The individual must be self-motivated and constantly look forward to new challenges. They will enjoy working under pressure, thinking creatively to develop and communicate new solutions and be able to work within a team or independently.
Full time: 37.5 hours per week.
Mencap has an exciting Regional Youth Co-ordinator position funded through Inspire Me. We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to work within a challenging yet rewarding role. This role will involve travelling across Birmingham and the West Midlands. A driving licence and access to a car is therefore essential.
You will need to be a brilliant partnership builder and will work across stakeholders to embed the delivery of Inspire Me within Birmingham and the West Midlands. You will use your professional credibility and experience to develop a Mencap young people programme. You will inspire, engage and enhance life for young people aged 14-25 with a learning disability through the Inspire Me programme.
