We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced person to fulfil this important role as part of our Vulnerable Groups Strategy. You will have responsibility for leading the SEN Assessment team in ensuring the Local Authority meets its statutory responsibilities for the identification and assessment of children and young people with special educational needs, as well as ensuring effective and efficient use of resources to maximise their achievements.
An astute understanding of the issues facing children and young people with special educational needs and their families and a detailed knowledge of SEN legislation are requirements of this post.
