Save the Children has been achieving breakthroughs for children across the UK and internationally since our foundation in 1919.
Through a refocusing of our work we are exponentially growing the scale, impact and visibility of our UK programmes. By 2015 we aim to have transformed the life chances of 150,000 children in poverty and impacted a further one million children across the UK through legislative changes as a result of our campaigns and advocacy.
This step change will be lead by an inspiring Head of UK Programmes who will have the drive, skills, experience and vision to strategically grow, build and implement a fundable and high profile programme that proactively responds to children and families living in disadvantage and leads to policy and practice change across England, Scotland, NI and Wales. You’ll have the opportunity to drive a platform for change, forging alliances with unusual partners.
We are looking to hear from candidates with experience senior management and leadership in a related field or sector i.e. the statutory, voluntary and charity sector and of working with the public/private sectors. You will also need experience of leading large teams in different contexts across the UK.
In return we offer a sector leading salary and the opportunity to join a growing organisation committed to eliminating UK child poverty.
*This role can be based out of either London, Belfast, Glasgow, Cardiff, Edinburgh or Manchester.
