Youth Connexions Hertfordshire works with young people aged 13 to 19 (up to 25 for those with a learning difficulty or disability) to deliver youth work, information, advice, guidance and support to targeted individuals and groups.

We are looking for a self motivated and enthusiastic youth worker to lead a team of youth support workers and volunteers to engage with a diverse range of young people to plan, deliver and evaluate creative, innovative and focussed curriculum based youth work.

Good ICT, organisation and communication skills are essential as is the ability to meet targets, produce reports and correspond with young people, parents and partners. You will need to be flexible in your approach; have the ability to work 4 evenings a week including Friday or Saturday nights plus other times during the week, at weekends and during school holidays.

Applications are welcome from qualified and unqualified candidates. Unqualified applicants will be required to complete a nationally recognised JNC qualification for youth and community workers.

Salary:

£24,166 - £26,279 (JNC 15-18) Qualified
£20,591 - £23,485 (JNC 11-14) Unqualified
