Project Officer - Young People
37 hours per week – working pattern expected to incorporate evening and weekend working
5 year project
Due to a successful Big Lottery, Reaching Communities bid we have created this exciting new role to develop and deliver the ‘Make it Happen’ Project. As part of the team responsible for neighbourhood management the Project Officer - Young People will provide a vital link between Helena, young people and the local community.
The project will enable young people aged 5-16 to access better opportunities through local, targeted, purposeful, free, fun and accessible diversionary activities in the re:new neighbourhood management areas of St Helens.
With responsibility for delivering key targets, engaging young people and monitoring budgets this role requires a diverse range of skills to be successful. As part of a proactive, customer-focused service you must be able to engage with young people using creative and innovative approaches whilst identifying barriers to participation and additional support needs.
As part of this position you would be responsible for overseeing the development and delivery of the project and experience of delivering successful projects and achieving demanding outcomes is essential. We’re looking for an effective communicator who can work well on their own as well as part of a team.
Involving young people in steering the project is an important part of the role and we’re seeking an individual who is able to inspire young people and has previous experience delivering young person centred projects.
This position will be subject to an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau check.
