Online Development Worker
selfharm.co.uk helps young people who self-harm through our website and resources, and by training youth workers and other professionals to better understand the issues. Now we're expanding to include online support groups, starting with pilot projects in 2012 and a full launch in 2013. We want to develop the most innovative and effective way to work online, using social media and virtual environments.
We're looking for someone to help oversee these developments as well as expand our other web services. You'll need to be passionate about helping young people who self-harm, have great project management skills and be able to think creatively and strategically. The role will include some fieldwork with young people and professionals.
selfharm.co.uk is part of Youthscape, a collaboration of projects based in Luton, where we've been supporting young people who harm for the last eight years.
The role offers a unique professional development package, as well as being part of a dynamic team. We work to safeguard the welfare of young people and expect all staff to share this commitment. Based in Luton, Befordshire. All appointments are subject to a satisfactory Enhanced Criminal Records check being received.
