Kent was recently judged to be one of the top rated authorities for it’s Youth Work practice by OfSTED and as part of this Kent Youth Service works closely with young people to ensure their views and opinions are taken into consideration and valued in all of our work.

As the Area Youth Worker you will play a central role in managing a part-time youth work team at the Mascalls Youth Centre and also act as the lead person for youth participation and introductory training for new part-time staff across the Tunbridge Wells district.

The Centre shares its site with Mascalls School, and there is an expectation that you will develop work to deliver lunch-time and after-school provision in collaboration with the school. In addition the postholder will support the work on Duke of Edinburgh’s Award and the inclusion project which is utilizing the building.

Kent Youth Service is committed to safeguarding young people, and this post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure Application to the Criminal Records Bureau.
