Youth and Play Service

Greenwich Youth and Play Service delivers youth and play work throughout the borough from more than 60 sites, delivering youth work in universal settings and through targeted projects and programmes.  Greenwich is a ‘Good’ Youth Service (Ofsted 2006), and due to the priority given locally and nationally to the provision of high quality, young person centred services and provision, there are opportunities for motivated, skilled and experienced people who are committed to providing services to, with and for children and young people to join our service.

Area Detached Co-ordinator REF: LBG_CHS056_SEP08 

JNC Professional Range, 19 – 22 £28,778 – £31,068 per annum inclusive of London Allowance. 

We are seeking to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic Youth Work Practitioner/Manager with extensive skills and experience embedding Curriculum Led work across the service. 

You will have a sound understanding of youth work principles and practice and the ability to design and deliver creative Anti-Diversionary activities with young people at risk of or involved in crime and/or anti-social behaviour. 

The Youth Service makes a substantive contribution to the ASB agenda in Greenwich and supports the reduction in first time entrants to the criminal justice system.
